Gym Power supplies commercial gym equipment, including imported, special-order and made-to-order products. Because of the nature, size and sourcing of these products, returns are handled differently from small off-the-shelf retail items.

This policy explains when returns, cancellations and refunds may apply.

  1. No Cancellation Once an Order Is Placed

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, no cancellation, termination or refund is permitted, except where required by applicable South African law or where Gym Power agrees otherwise in writing.

This is because many products may be imported, manufactured, allocated, reserved, customised, or specially ordered for the customer.

  1. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that a customer may have under applicable South African consumer protection law.

Where the Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or any other applicable law gives a customer a right to cancel, return defective goods, receive a refund, receive a replacement, or have goods repaired, those statutory rights will apply.

  1. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Customers must inspect all goods on delivery, collection or installation.

Any visible damage, missing items, incorrect items or defects must be reported to Gym Power in writing within 10 days of delivery or collection.

    • Description of the issue
    • Photographs or videos, where possible

Gym Power may inspect the goods before approving a repair, replacement, return or refund.

  1. Change-of-Mind Returns

Change-of-mind returns are not generally accepted for commercial gym equipment, imported products, special-order products, made-to-order products, assembled products, installed products, or products that are no longer in original condition.

Where Gym Power agrees to a change-of-mind return in exceptional circumstances, the item must be:

    • Unused
    • Uninstalled
    • In its original packaging
    • In the same condition in which it was received
    • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Gym Power may charge reasonable handling, admin, inspection, shipping, restocking, supplier, storage, collection, or other costs already incurred.

  1. Sale, Discounted or Promotional Items

Sale, discounted, clearance or promotional items are not refundable unless required by applicable law.

  1. Return Shipping

Where a return is accepted for reasons other than defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods, the customer is responsible for return shipping, transport, insurance, packaging, handling and related costs.

Where the goods are defective and the customer has a statutory right to return them, return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Condition of Returned Goods

Returned goods may be refused if they are:

    • Used
    • Damaged after delivery
    • Installed
    • Modified
    • Missing parts
    • Not in original packaging
    • Not accompanied by proof of purchase
    • Damaged due to misuse, neglect, incorrect handling, poor storage, unauthorised repair, or unsuitable site conditions
  1. Refund Process

If a refund is approved, Gym Power will process the refund to the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Refund timing may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or internal processing requirements.

Any approved refund may be reduced by lawful deductions, including handling fees, return transport, storage, installation, supplier charges, repair costs, missing parts, damage, or other costs reasonably incurred, where permitted by law.
